Zusammenfassung:This paper aims to verify that a large number of individual renew- able energy sources (RES) performing power smoothing functionality can lead to the power smoothing effect from the entire RES. For imple- mentation of power smoothing methodology, a grid connected energy storage systems (ESS) with state of charge (SOC) control are applied for photovoltaic system. Power smoothing method effectively attenuate the variability of RES along with SOC management of ESS. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of power smoothing grid with renewable energy sources, mathematical verification is included to provide logical proof of the methodology. The case studies are carried out using PSCAD simulation with modified IEEE 34 node radial network with PV and ESS.
