Zusammenfassung:Gold has been bombarded with protons of energies from 8 to 60 Mev to study excitation functions and isomer yield ratios for the formation of the isomeric pairs Hg 197m,g , Hg 195m,g , and Au 196m,g . For Hg 197m,g and Hg 195m,g , the ratio of the yield of the metastable state to that of the ground state, σ m /σ g , was found to increase with increasing proton bombarding energy up to 20 and 35 Mev respectively, whilst that for Au 196m,g showed a maximum at about 40 Mev.
