Zusammenfassung: | Four people acknowledged as leaders in the teaching of English present their views around recent changes in curriculum and technology, summarising the challenges and the possibilities they see in front of us. All four celebrate the flexibility and creativity available to us in our curriculum, and all four express their concern about the way in which we have continued to allow assessment to be the focus of our courses, rather than teaching and learning. These are challenges, both positive and negative, that are relevant to us all. I encourage you to reflect and respond on their thoughts and perhaps respond with stories of how you are engaging with the possibilities of our curriculum in new and creative ways, and in particular we welcome any reflections on how people are avoiding the trap of assessment driven courses. |
