Ethics versus misery

Ponders the ethical dilemma posed by the Aug 2010 floods which devastated Pakistan whereby, because of a shortage of trained doctos, medical students were prescribing medication to desperate villagers - contrary not only to ethics but also to Pakistani law. Considers whether such desperate circumstances warrant the abandonment of medical ethics for the sake of alleviating the misery that accompanies a flood.
