Satellite tracking a New Zealand falcon (Falco novaeseelandiae)

Reports on the first use of a satellite transmitter to monitor the territorial range of an audlt female New Zealand bush falcon (Falco novaeseelandiae) in Kaingaroa Forest, east of Lake Taupo, central North Island. Tracks her movement over a three year period and maps geolocations, revealing that the falcon stayed close to her nesting territory through the study.
