Arts Administration and the French Pacific: A View from Australia

Criticises the management, organisation and expense of the Eighth Festival of Pacific Arts, Noumea, New Caledonia, 23 Oct-3 Nov 2000. Considers that the Festival turned out to be wonderful despite inept programming and other management blunders, and that artists and audiences persevered in the face of adversity. Contends that the organisation by the Australian contingent could have been better.
