Joint report : Church Bay Private Scenic Reserve

Content Partner: Manaaki Whenua – Landcare Research. An inspection to decide whether the forest belonging to Mr O. Hunter should come under the status of private scenic reserve. The vegetation consists mostly of secondary coastal forest, remnants of dry rock flora, planted natives foreign to the area and Canary Island adventives. Because of its scenic value and useful collection of planted natives it is recommended that this area be declared a private scenic reserve, under the care of Mr Hunter and a 15 m zone on the eastern boundary be declared a public right of way.
