Zusammenfassung:Red and blue light have an inhibiting effect on the elongation of gherkin seedlings. A collaboration of blue and red light, successively (B ->■ R) or simultaneously (white light) given, however, has a much stronger inhibiting effect. This inhibiting effect can be neutralized by a subsequent irradiation with blue light; red or green light and darkness are ineffective in this respect.
