This work is not intended for pediatricians, general practitioners, or internists.
The descriptive introduction to each chapter is well written but fails to give an overall view of the maturational process of the child's brain. Neurophysiologic correlates and explanations are brief and frequently based on the author's unpublished data. It would have been more useful if Blume had displayed graphs . . .
