Zusammenfassung: | [Introduction] It was late spring when I came to Japan to begin another new visiting and learning journey. Although it was a pity that my favorite Sakura flowers had withered away, the excitement and delight for the forthcoming new knowledge and new life filled my heart. I still remembered the initial feeling so clearly, however, it's time to say goodbye now. How quickly time flies! The plan for this visiting was to observe and learn neurological rehabilitation at Aizawa hospital. I am a neurology doctor, and my specialty is cerebrovascular disease. Now, you may be confused about why I came here to learn rehabilitation. As you know, China is a developing country and modern rehabilitation developed late. Conventional rehabilitation originated from traditional Chinese medicine such as massage, acupuncture and herb. Although those treatments were also beneficial for recovery, the effect was not very satisfactory. For a variety of reasons, rehabilitation had not gotten enough attention over the years in China. The level of rehabilitation is low, though it is shameful to acknowledge this status. To meet this growing demand for health and high quality rehabilitation, my boss, Professor Qiang Dong, wanted to do some work to change the backward situation. |
