Zusammenfassung:The bone- inductive property of rabbit dentin was discovered in 1967. We have been researching the autograft of human demineralized dentin matrices (DDM) as clinical study. A 66- year-old female presented with missing tooth (#36), residual root (#37) and impacted tooth (#3 8). We transplanted autogenous DDM prepared from non-functional vital tooth to another tooth extraction socket for bone augmentation, and then placed a dental implant into the recipient site. Surgical treatments were performed under local anesthesia, and impacted tooth (#38) was extracted with residual root (#37). The extracted impacted tooth (#38) was rinsed in antibiotics solution and was crashed by auto- crash machine for 1 minute. The crashed granules (size: 0.5- 1.0mm) were demineralized completely in 0.032N HNO3 solution, rinsed in cold distilled water. The DDM were loaded onto the place of the missing tooth (#36), and the flap was repositioned and sutured. At 5 months after procedure, the biopsy was performed in the site where dental implant (POI FINATITE, HA coating: Japan Medical Materials Co., Japan) was placed. Bone formation was found between residual DDM. Until now, there has not been postoperative complication and the implant has functioned stable. By using our newly developed mill, it is possible to prepare autogenous DDM in20 minutes and to reuse the DDM immediately. This case indicates that autogenousDDM can be used as osteoinductive biomaterials.
