Zusammenfassung: | A binding material called calcium titanate with amorphous carbon (CaTiO3-C) has been developed to enhance the bond strength and stability without increasing the interface between hydroxyapatite (HA) and titanium. Modified thermal decomposition method was used to increase Ca/P and Ca/Ti ratios and to decrease sintering temperature. Results revealed that a thin and homogenous coating was created between HA and titanium enhancing the bond strength as well as the stability of the implant. CaTiO3-C was negatively charged same with HA but had lower solubility than HA. The results suggest that CaTiO3-C induce long-term bone formation and possibly a coating material for implants. |
