IV-01 Identification of transcript variants of the retinoid-related orphan receptor gamma (NR1F3;RORγ) derived from porcine full-length cDNA libraries

Zusammenfassung: | The retinoid-related orphan receptor gamma (NR1F3;RORγ) is a member of nuclear receptors that has been proposed to involve in immune function. We have isolated and sequenced two full-1ength cDNA clones of the porcine RORγ gene in the PEDE database (http://pede.dna.affrc.go.jp). The porcine RORγ-1 transcript has a 2192 bp full-length mRNA that encodes 497 amino acids. The porcine RORγ-2 transcript contains a 2281 bp mRNA, which encodes 518 amino acids. Sequence analysis indicated that they are identical in the DNA-binding domain (DBD) and the ligand-binding domain (LBD), which share 97% and 93% identity to human RORγ, respectively. The porcine RORγ-2 has a 21 amino acid insertion in the hinge D domain. The mRNA expression of the porcine RORγ-1 transcript was detected in the liver, kidney, small intestine, heart, muscle, thymus, spleen, and brain, whereas the porcine RORγ-2 transcript was expressed only in the thymus and spleen. |
