Zusammenfassung:[ABSTRACT] To assess the genetic suitability of reinforcement of two populations of the Japanese brown frog (Rana japonica) in Yokohama City, we attempted to clarify their genetic relationship based on sequence variation of mitochondrial DNA control region and polymorphism of 10 microsatellite DNA loci. The results showed that these two populations are genetically related, though they are presently isolated. This appears to conform to the conditions for reinforcement of the two populations.
