Zusammenfassung:The present study investigated the influence of chronic stress on salivary buffering action. The participants were 55 healthy university undergraduate and graduate students (age 25.6 ± 7.7 years) divided into two groups (Stressed or Normal) based on "Guidelines for prevention of Health Disturbance" of the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. Cortisol concentrations and salivary buffering action detected in saliva samples were compared between the two groups.
