Zusammenfassung: | A spectrophotometric method for the microquantitative determination of hemoglobin is described. The method is based on the pseudoperoxidase effect of hemoglobin in the presence of hydrogen peroxide, undergoing oxidation and coloration with 3,3'-dimethylnaphthidine. The determination range obtained for hemoglobin was between 0.5 and 30mg/dl. The interassay coefficient of variation was 2.62% or less with a recovery range of 97.3~99.6% at the hemoglobin concentrations of 5.6, 14.0, and 22.4mg/dl. A close correlation was found between the results of this method and the leuco crystal violet method. |
