Zusammenfassung:A new triterpene, 3,4-seco-friedelan-3-oic acid (1) was isolated from the leaves and stems of Euonymus fortunei HAND.-MAZZ together with friedelin (2), epifriedelinol, isoarborinol, stigmastan-3β,5α,6β-triol, β-sitosterol and β-sitosteryl-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside. The structure of the new triterpene was elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic evidence and confirmed by preparation of (1) from friedelin.
