Zusammenfassung: | [Objective] The purpose of this study is to analyze the three dimensional structure of autogenous grafting bone using high resolution micro-CT. [Patients and Methods] Five cadavers (three males and two females aged from 60 to 70 years; average 65.6 years) donated for gross anatomy practice at Showa University School of Dentistry were enrolled in this study. Osseous diseases were excluded from this study. The collected bones were mandibular chin, mandibular ramus, tibia and iliac bones. Micro CT scans were performed in SMX-90CT (Shimadzu laboratory) and the data was analysed using TRI-3D BONE software (RATOC Co., Ltd., Japan). The investigated factors were the characteristic of the trabecular structure and the area of the cortical bone and cancellous bone region. [Results] The cancellous bone structure of mandible and tibia was a plate structure and the iliac bone was a rod structure. There was no significant difference in the cortical bone area (CV) between each group. However, in the cancellous bone area (in BV), there were significant differences (p< 0.05, Scheffe) between the mandibular chin and tibia, chin and iliac bone, and mandibular ramus and tibia. [Conclusion] It was suggested that bones which received direct stress are mainly plate structure and that mandibular bone might be more useful for collection of bone. |
