Zusammenfassung:We treated a male patient with a solitary osteochondroma of the cervical spine that caused spinal cord compression. Computerized tomography demonstrated a mass arising from the C4-5 vertebrae, projecting into the spinal canal, and compressing the spinal cord. Decompressive laminectomy was performed initially, followed 1 month later by total removal of the tumor through an anterior transcervical approach. Our case and other reported cases of solitary osteochondroma of the vertebral column are discussed.
