Zusammenfassung: | The present state of treatment for parkinsonism in Kyushu was investigated. 8096 sheets of questionnaire were sent out to medical facilities in Kyushu except for these which were dealing with opthalmic and dermatlogical problems, and 2177 cases were replied. This study was done with the patients who were seen between March 1972 to June 1972. Parkinsonism was seen at the rate of 17.8 patients per 100,000 population. 1987 cases (91.3%) of parkinsonism were treated, 128 cases (6.0%) were untreated and the rests of these were not known what was done. 3.4% of patients were operated and 87.9% of patients were treated medically. The analysis of these medicine was as follows, 1) Cholinergic blooking agent 91% 2) L-dopa 40% 3) CDP choline 2.3% 4) Amantadine hydrochloride 1.5% 5) Belladonna 0.9% 6) Others 3.6% |
