Zusammenfassung:Recently, the radioisotopic brain scanning is showing the high diagnostic value for intracranial disease. We examined folowing two problems; (I) Since January 1967, we have performed 142 brain scannings in 79 cases of intracranial tumors with RISA, ^^99m Tc and ^^113m In, and by means of the additional method using opposite detectors, each of 5×2 inch in diameter. We have investigated the rate of positive result in the classification and location of tumors. Now, we have studing the angle of detector to improve the rate of detection of craniobasa llesion. When the angle is taken in 30-40 degree, we recognized the description of tumor become more clear. This degree was applied to several clinical cases and we confirmed this angle effectively. (2) We have attempted the evaluation of passage of tube in ventriculoauricular shunt operation by the scanning. When RISA of 100 μci is injected into the cardiac tube, this procedure demonstrated outline of the tube, After a certain time, however, if RI is not distributed in the vascular structure of brain, it suggested the sign of obstruction of tube. After injection of RISA of 200 μci into the ventricle, if the remaining of RI is more 2 hours, it suggested the sign of obstruction of the ventricle or cardiac tube. We are considering this method is effective for the present.
