Zusammenfassung:We treated 150 cases of occipital headache patients since 1954 and should like to report these cases statistically. Symptomes a) severe attack of unilateral occipital headache which radiated to parietal, frontal area then to face 3 cases b) moderate degree of unilateral occipital headache which radiated to frontal area 36 cases c) unilateral occipital headache and neck pain 37 cases d) dull pain on bilateral occipital area 27 cases e) dull pain on bilateral occipital area and neck pain 32 cases f) bilateral occipital and neck pain with shoulder pain 15 cases History a) head trauma 79 cases b) emotional tension 29 cases c) hypertension associated with emotional factor 16 cases d) no special history 12 cases e) diseases of skull and cervical spine 16 cases Clinical signs a) trigger point on C_2 point on headache side 132 cases b) no trigger point on C_2 18 cases c) sensory changes on C_2 area 98 cases d) no sensory changes 52 cases e) hypertension 29 cases From the results of above mentioned statistic works, we though the etiology of occipital headache are as follows.
