Zusammenfassung:A new quantitative method of bromide which was devised by the present author was published at the 85th meeting of the Japan Society of Biochemistry. Determination of bromide was made clinically on 80 cases using cerebrospinal fluid and blood. The average normal cerebrospinal fluid was 7.6 mg/dl and the blood 0.9 mg/dl in average. It was revealed several times that bromide contained in the cerebrospinal fluid was as high as that of the blood. Consequently, this new method was applied clinically for the diagnosis of craniocerebral injuries, brain tumors, epilepsy or other mental diseases.
