Zusammenfassung: | Introduction:Pulse dye laser (PDL) alters structural protein in scars and PDL treatment of photodamaged skin and abnormal dermal vasculature is currently becoming representative. On the other hand, PDL also offers a powerful tool to improve the skin rejuvenation without any obvious side effects. Purpose/Background:To evaluate the effects of PDL treatment to skin rejuvenation in association with photodamaged skin (wrinkle, laxity, senile pigmentation, melasma), scars, acne vulgaris. Methods:We applied PDL to 153 patients and analyzed effects as judged by subjective grading of photos and by patient self-reporting. Every patient received mainly doublepass treatments at 2-4weeks intervals. Treatments were done using a 595nmPDL (Photo Genica V-star) at a pulse duration of 20ms and a 10mm handpiece. Treatment fluences were maintained below the individual's purpuric threshould, ranging from 7 to 10J/cm2. Photos were taken before treatment and during follow up. Conclusion:Every treatment contributed to improvements to skin tone and texture to a various degree, including a reduction in the appearance of rhytids and in particular and pigmentary evenness. No side effects were observed during the follow-up term. As a result, we consider that PDL treatments provide effective photo-rejuvenation with no risk of side effects. |
