Zusammenfassung:The aim of this study is to investigate physiological and subjective responses when using a floor heating and convection heating systems. Nine healthy elderly men and nine healthy young men volunteered as subjects. The elderly men's health was checked in advance. This experiment was carried out under the 4 conditions:a convection heating system in a detached house (D), convection heating system in apartment house (A), floor heating system (F) and no air conditioner (N). The difference in air temperature between the floor and the ceiling is about 4 degrees in conditions D and A. The differences in floor temperature between condition F and condition D and N is about 14 degrees, and condition A is about 8 degrees, respectively. The subjects were exposed for 30 minutes in the pre-room at first and 90 minutes in test room. It was suggested that both elderly and young men received the same effects from the floor heating system and convection heating system, though the air temperature of the floor heating system was about 4 degrees lower than that of the convection heating system.
