Zusammenfassung:The purpose of this study was to investigate a difference of skin hydration in Japanese and Korean women in their twenties in the four seasons. We measured skin hydration on forehead, cheek and upper arm by Moisture checker in each of the seasons. The results were analyzed by using a three-factor (nationality, site and season) analysis of variance (3-way ANOVA). The results were summarized as follows: 1) The Japanese showed a high hydration than the Korean women in spring, but they showed a low hydration in summer on their face. In other hand, the Japanese showed a high hydration than the Koreans on their upper arm, especially in fall and winter. 2) On seasonal variation, there was a significant difference between the Japanese and the Koreans on their face. However, we found no difference on their upper arm.
