Zusammenfassung:This photo-ethnography explores traces of war in Burundi. Bringing into view young people of Burundian heritage in Belgium and the Netherlands, the book reveals how war and (lost) homes reverberate in people, places and through ‘war repertoires’. Yet the young people in this photo-ethnography also show how their traces make for new ways of belonging and connectedness. The book consists of photos, interview excerpts, and analyses. With the publication, the authors hope to seduce readers interested in art and academia to listen to the experiences of those born after war, showing how there/here and then/now and are interconnected.
