Zusammenfassung:Reason: Dr. Oliver Wildner, the corresponding author, was alerted that the images showing cell fusion after expression of viral fusogenic membrane proteins are used in five different manuscripts with different labels. Dr. Hoffman, the first author, takes full responsibility for the errors and maintains that the other authors were not aware of the problem. He further maintains, "This is not to declare the other data and major conclusions presented in the publication are not accurate, and one of the key findings of the paper that the expression of fusogenic membrane proteins can synergistically enhance conventional chemotherapy, has been confirmed by another workgroup (Schache et al.VSV virotherapy improves chemotherapy by triggering apoptosis due to proteasomal degradation of Mcl-1. Gene Ther. 2009; 16:849-61)". The authors apologize for any inconvenience to the scientific community.
