Zusammenfassung: | This PhD project analyses historians' affiliation with the European integration process in the 1980s through a case study: the Association of European Historians (AEH), a network of 632 scholars from 23 countries active from 1983 to 1994. Using the comparative method, network and spatial analysis, this research has the twofold objective of including historians in the Europeanness building from a bottom-up perspective and examining the AEH's paradigm in the light of the historiographical debate of the period. The project is developed in partnership with the Italian Historical Institute for Modern and Contemporary Ages in Rome. |
