Zusammenfassung: | Little is known of psychology PhD students perspectives' on their training and evaluation. An exploratory study was thus enacted in close cooperation between EFPA and EFPSA. The following questions formed the basis of a questionnaire submitted to students all across Europe. Would all of them welcome minimal standards related to their funding, benefits and support in general? Are there many problems with the evaluation procedure and for instance its transparency? Is there a need for improvement of complaints or conflicts handling procedures? Should a Psychology PhD programme be open or not for those without a psychology Master? Should honours or grades be mentioned? Should we in fact aspire minimal standards, or rather a certificate reflecting a higher than average quality? And is there a need for a European network for Psychology PhD students, for instance under the auspices of EFPA and EFPSA? Results will be presented during the symposium. |
