Zusammenfassung:Electrodynamic Suspension is a well known principle in electromagnetic theory. EDS hovering is prone to undamped oscillations, which limits the feed forward control possibilities of this technique. In this paper, a previously designed cheap actuator, based on this principle, is controlled sensorlessly to realize stable height control. The relation between the height and the inductance of the coil is evaluated. A sensorless inductance measurement technique is developed. PID control of the inductance is tuned and described in this paper.
