Zusammenfassung: | In this paper we present different applications of NDT by guided acoustic waves. Defects in the form of structural heterogeneities are made detectable by the related impedance mismatch induced reflection, scattering and mode-conversion of acoustic wave modes. Also the detection of closed cracks, which are visible by nonlinearly induced acoustic harmonics and cross-modulation frequencies, is discussed. Besides experimental evidence, also the basic ingredients of the theory describing the interaction between guided acoustic waves and defects are given. |
