Zusammenfassung:This chapter considers the beam‐pumping unit currently widely used in oil fields as an example to study the energy‐saving principle of the mechanical properties adaptation. First, it introduces the working principle, load characteristics, and mechanical properties of the beam‐pumping unit. It then introduces the mechanical properties of ultra‐high slip motors, as well as the characteristics of winding motors with self‐adaption of the rotor resistance. And also, the chapter discusses the energy‐saving principles of the mechanical properties fit between the ultra‐high slip motor and pump loads as well as the energy‐saving examples of mechanical properties fit. At present, the driven motor that fits the mechanical properties of the beam pumping unit is mainly an ultra‐high slip motor. As the mechanical properties of an ultra‐high slip motor are soft features, it can improve the coordination of the pumping unit system, and improve the fill factor of the defueling pump, thus raising the fluid production.
