Zusammenfassung: | A fungal strain designated KNUF-22-016 was isolated from a soil sample collected in Cheoltan Mountain in Yeongju, Korea. The cultural and morphological characteristics of this strain closely resembled those of Hamigera ingelheimensis. The colonies formed by the isolate appeared light orange to dark orange on Czapek yeast extract agar, its conidiophores were rarely branched, smooth-walled, measuring 109.9-864.8 × 4.1-7.4 μm, with its smoothwalled conidia being 2.3-4.6 × 1.9-3.5 μm in size. Phylogenetic analysis using concatenated sequences of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions and the Mcm7, RPB2 and Tsr1 genes confirmed the affiliation of strain KNUF-22-016 with H. ingelheimensis. To the best of our knowledge, this fungus has not been previously documented in Korea. |
