한국형 출혈열 이환후 발생된 뇌하수체 기능 저하증 1예

Korean hemarrhagic fever may be accompanied with complication of hemorrhage which may occur at any organ. In the autopsy findinge of Korean hemorrhagic fever patients, coagulation necrosis of anterior pituitary gland is known as one of the most characteristic ma- croscopic finding and shows in almost all patients but there has been rare reporte of panhypopituitaryem in patients with Korean hemorrhagic fever. Recently we have experienced panhypopituitarysm in one patients. He was admitted to our hospital under the impression of Korean hemorrhagic fever and managed including hemodialysis therefore he was in recovery phase, but from 30th admission day, the symptom and sign were developed, suited hypopituitarysm. The patient was confirmed as panhypopituitarysm by combined anterior pituitary function test there was no evidence of hypothalamic or pituitary dseases by sever- al test including brain CT scan. Korean hemorrhagic fever was confirmed by the high titers of antibody against Hantaan virus in patient serum. Our experience shows that Korean hemorrhagic fever can be a cause of panhpopituitarysm and we think that one should give attention to Korean hemorrhagic fever with atypical course and seasonal variation.
