Zusammenfassung: | The d!agncsis of ar.tral gastritis ivas rendered if UGI series demonstrated any of the three radio!ogic patterns characterized by a persistent flattened or nar rowed antrum, abnormal mucosal crenulation and abnormal perista!sis manifested as antral spasm. This study was conducted to pursue the reIationship betv,:een radiological diagnosis, endoscopical and pathological findings on 204 cases of antral gastritis based on radioglogical diagnosis. In 73 of 204 cases, endoscopic biopsy ivas performed and the results were as follows: 1. The sex distribution in 204 cases with antral gastritis was 11S cases in male and 86 cases in female and the sex ratio of male to female was l. 4 to l. 2. In 175(85. 8Yo) of 204 cases, endoscopy shoived only gastritis: among them, 119 cases(58. 3% ) shov;ed mainly erosive gastritis, 42 cases(ZO. 5%) ercsive and atrophic gastritis, and 14 cases, (6. 9%) mainly atrophic gastritis. 3. In 29(14. 2Fo) of 204 cases, gastritis and other pathological lesions ivere conccmitantly found endoscopically and pathologically. There was shallow gastric ulcer in 10 cases, gastric polyp and benign gastric ulcer in each 7, gastric carcinoma in 3, and chronic duodenal ulcer in 2. 4. Pathological findings of various gastritis ivere almost consistent with endoscopic diagnosi, and especially atrophic gastritis ivas closely correlated endoscopically and pathologically. In summary, antral gastritis diagnosed radiologically shoived endoscopic findings of gastritis in all cases and by endoscopic examination more accurate classification of types of various gastriti.; was possible. Radiological diagnosis could be corrected in 14. 2% by endoscopy and approximately over 80Po cf cases pathologic findings by multiple endcscopic biopsy were consistent with endoscopic diagnosis. |
