Zusammenfassung:possible role of the fusaproliferin in plant pathology was investigated with respect to membrane potential and respiration of maize leaves. The seedlings of tolerant (Lucia) and susceptible (Pavla) to the fusaproliferin (35 ug.ml-1) showed some functional differences in membrane potential and respiration. The extent of changes depended on the cultivars and was greater in the susceptible cv. Pavla. Results indicated that fusaproliferin could be involved in Fusarium pathogenesis either as a virulence factor.
