UNA GIUMENTA E UN DESTRIERO, DUE DONNE, IL MEDESIMO LUTTO

Il presente articolo intende mettere in luce peculiari risonanze testuali tra La cavalla storna di Giovanni Pascoli e l'Edda poetica, la collezione di carmi del Nord vichingo – in particolare, il Seconda carme di Guðrún, facente parte del ciclo dei Nibelunghi e immortalato figurativamente sulla stele runica norvegese di Alstad. Oltre alie edizioni dell''Edda poetica disponibili al 1903, alcune sue traduzioni, appartenenti al maestro Giosuè Carducci, potrebbero aver introdotto il poeta di San Mauro alla produzione letteraria nordica antica. This paper attempts to highlight specific textual resonances between La cavalla storna by Giovanni Pascoli and the Poetic Edda, the poems collection from the Viking North – in particular, the Second Lay of Guðrún, being part of the Nibelungs cycle and figuratively immortalized on the Norwegian runic stele from Alstad. In addition to the editions of the Poetic Edda available in 1903, some of its translations, belonging to the master Giosuè Carducci, they could have introduced the poet from San Mauro to ancient Nordic literary production.
