Zusammenfassung: | The associations of the use of asbestos-cement (A/C) pipe in public potable water distribution systems with changes in Connecticut cancer incidence rates were analyzed. Eight measurements related to asbestos in town water. population density, and socioeconomic scores were tested for their association with increased rates of cancer incidence, using multiple regression. No consistent patterns of association were found. The study provided no evidence for changing current water distribution policies for Connecticut public water supplies because of A/C pipe use. |
