Zusammenfassung: | Data from a survey of agricultural workers in Pennsylvania in 1970 provide new insight into the characteristics and labor force behavior of interstate agricultural workers in Pennsylvania. Interstate workers comprise only a small proportion of the state's hired agricultural work force. They are almost entirely members of ethnic minorities. Although most are in the labor force all year, a significant portion of their employment is at non-agricultural work. The study findings have important implications for economic and social programs to aid migrant agricultural workers. |
