Zusammenfassung:In 2009 the Qatar Museums Authorities initiated a long-term archaeological and heritage project in order to study the archaeology and history of the northern Qatar peninsula with a particular focus on the ruins of al-Zubārah, one of the most important pearl-fishing towns in the region. The project includes large-scale excavation and heritage work that will develop the site of al-Zubārah into a heritage park, which is at present on the UNESCO World Heritage provisional list. The poster paper presents the strategies for the heritage master plan, including procedures for site management, preservation, and presentation.
