La imprenta y librería «Qué fue de Fuentenebro»: un modelo empresarial y un programa editorial a finales del Antiguo Régimen

Este artículo está dedicado a reconstruir y a analizar la trayectoria histórica de un singular establecimiento madrileño que fue libreria, imprenta, calcografía y almacén de estampas y libros. Su prolongada existencia refleja un modelo de empresa y un programa editorial coherentes con el marco tecnológico y cultural propio del Antiguo Régimen, a la vez que pone de manifiesto el tipo de dificultades que hallaron los establecimientos de su clase para adaptarse a los cambios que tuvieron lugar en España durante un periodo crítico, el primer tercio del sigio XIX. This paper aims at the analysis and the historical reconstruction of a singular establishment in Madrid, that was bookstore, printing, engraving workshop and warehouse of stamps and books. Its prolonged existence reflects a model of business and a publishing program that were both coherent with the technological and cultural frame of the Ancient Regime. Simultaneously, the paper shows the difficulties this kind of establishments had to deal with, to adapt themselves to the changes that took place in Spain during a critical period: the first third of 19th century.
