Zusammenfassung:The site of Murwab in Qatar is a village made up of 220 cells, two forts, and two mosques. Stratigraphie results from excavations make it possible to give an account of two visible distinct occupations in the forts and in its domestic architecture during the ninth century. Five phases of the process of sedentarization can be identified in the domestic habitat. A study of ceramics from the site indicated intense trade between Murwab and the Arab and Iranian provinces during the early Abbasid period.
