| Zusammenfassung: | The article, originally delivered as a lecture, presents the Renaissance concept of the political in relation to German society of the 90s. The author develops his theoretical notion on the basis of the ideological irony that the West came to an end with the East. Germany as such no longer exists. The Germans live in the Phantoms' Republic. With this in mind, the author elaborates the concepts of reflexive modernity, postmodernity, antimodernity, reflexive democracy and the politicisation of society as a result of the ecological crisis. |
