This collection represents a Coastal Plain disjunction of ca. 240 miles and is the first report from the Cumberland Plateau. Recent collection data indicate that the taxon is more widespread and more common than previously thought. Details of its seed biology and mechanisms of dispersal and establishment are unknown. |
