Zusammenfassung:"Freundschaft" and "Heimat" are among the essential topoi in the poetic works of Friedrich Holderlin. Although both thematic fields have significantly shaped the discussions about the life and works of the poet in recent decades, the extent to which Hölderlin related "Freundschaft" and "Heimat" has so far not been studied. This investigation takes a first step in this direction. It is based on the thesis that the topos of "Freundschaft," which is originally connected with Hölderlin's own Bildungsgeschichte and which directly entered into the discourse of the times, can be traced poetically to spaces connoting his place of origin. This motif is pursued first in "Die Tek. 1788" and in "Hyperion." A third section approaches the complex texts of the "Homburger Folioheft," which provide touching evidence of Hölderlin's attempts to preserve the concepts "Heimat" and "Freundschaft" (expanded and modified by the concept of "Vaterland") from the loss of meaning which he was reflecting upon and which he wanted to counteract with a new kind of poeticphilosophic poetry.
