Die Grundfragen der Theologie in ihrer natürlichen Reihenfolge

The Christian message claims to be the » Word of God «. How is it possible to understand this extraordinary claim ? I shall argue that the right order of questions towards the Christian message is crucially important in this regard. Within this right order one can see that the content of the Christian message ( Trinity, Incarnation ) elucidates its claim of being the «Wort of God”. All articles of faith unfold but one basic mystery, namely our communion with God that consists in being taken up into the eternal love between the Father and the Son. This we cannot know by natural reason but only by faith in the word of the incarnate Son. By this faith we are liberated from the power of fear for ourselves. Given the right order of questions the Christian message can be understood easily.
