Zusammenfassung:Urban trajectories forecast across ecological epistemologies may help predict scenarios for the planning and development of a smart, sustainable new capital city for the Republic of Indonesia. At the same time, virtual velocities and “disruptive traditions” attributed to the coronavirus pandemic will likely affect the traditional and virtual realities of all cities in years to come. In particular, the correlation between density and contagion may imply a reconfiguration of urban environments according to a more biomorphic design philosophy. Research related to these topics further indicates that digital technologies and virtual representations will be instrumental in reinforcing urban traditions and imagining marketable smart-city scenarios in a future of planetary urbanization.
