PER LA DATAZIONE FRA IL 1327-1328 E IL 1332 DELLE EXPOSITIONES ET GLOSE DI GUIDO DA PISA

The essay examines the arguments advanced in support of dating the Expositiones et glose (final version) between 1335 and 1340, starting from the alleged identification of the Genoese nobleman Lucano Spinola with «the good Samaritan» of Guido’s commentary, a fundamental argument that is here refuted. With 1335, the year of the consulate of Lucano Spinola, ruled out as irrelevant to the dating of the work, an analytical reading of those passages in the commentary referring to the historical, social and cultural events involved supports a date for the final version of the Expositiones between 1327-1328 and before 1332. Si esaminano gli argomenti portati a sostegno della datazione fra il 1335 e il 1340 delle Expositiones et glose (stesura finale) partendo dalla pretesa identità del nobile genovese Lucano Spinola con «il buon samaritano» del commento guidiano, argomento base che viene qui confutato. Sgombrata la data del consolato di Lucano Spinola, 1335, in quanto non attinente alla datazione dell’opera, una lettura analitica dei passi del commento relativi agli eventi storici, sociali e culturali coinvolti fanno infatti propendere per una datazione compresa fra il 1327-28 e prima del 1332 per la stesura finale delle Expositiones.
