Per una biografia di Giuliano e Antonio da Sangallo

In the biography of Giuliano da Sangallo one of the unresolved issues remains the date of birth. Based on the sources available so far, many scholars have set it around 1442, but the documents appear contradictory, and the possibility of postponing it can't be ruled out. The re-reading of the tax return of Giuliano's father, Francesco di Bartolo, and the discovery of other documents seem to suggest a date of about ten years later, which would agree with the probable birth of Antonio in 1462 and with what we know of the first activity of Giuliano.
